The journelism Mission

To give voice to critical underreported issues in today’s world. The resulting articles uncover the setbacks and challenges facing people and organizations today, together with the resulting lessons learned.

What We’re About

journelism.org’s initiatives focus upon the TEER framework: Technology, Education, Entertainment and Real-world experience. We offer mentorship, opportunities, technology and services to develop society’s young writers to report on issues that matter, while providing the public with a highly useful resource.

journelism for Users

  • Theme-Related Articles – The best way to learn is through direct experiences; the second-best way is through those of other people. journelism.org articles are categorized by theme; each is organized to engage with a specific milestone along life’s journey—be it the Aha Moment, the Jump, the Sacrifice, the Brick Wall and others. Users are able to find directly relevant information relating to their own journeys, while creating identification between themselves and others. Our extensive database of profiles and features offers valuable lessons learned, advice and relevant information.
  • Experience-Bank Forum – journelism.org’s Experience Bank gives space to build connections with other users based on areas of interest and life milestones. Did you just start a business? Are you facing a challenge you would like to share with others to find advice? Go to Business – the Brick Wall theme, for example, and start connecting.
  • Engagement with a Diverse Writing Community – Our writers are always available to provide additional access to people and organizations based on requests. Users can ask individual questions, request information not otherwise covered or begin a dialogue with the writer about any related topic.

journelism for Writers

journelism.org’s writing community represents its engine. We attract and welcome writers from all over the world who share a similar passion—composing in-depth, thought-provoking and useful series of feature and profile articles. There are literally millions of articles available on the Internet; our writers differentiate themselves by exploring underreported issues, taking unique perspectives, conducting revealing interviews and providing information found nowhere else. While welcoming a wide range of content, journelism.org focuses on high-quality submissions. With our proprietary writer-ranking system, we promote the most active and intriguing writers, based on:
  • Contributing to community – write high-quality, engaging and useful submissions on compelling people and organizations shaping today’s world.
  • Improving the community – comment on and rate other writers’ articles, while creating an interactive dialogue with your readers.
  • Building a dedicated audience – users will provide feedback and request additional information on specific articles. The more you interact with the reader base and directly fulfill readers’ demands, the higher you will rank.
Our writers have the opportunity to work with dedicated editors, while learning about the demands and rewards of working in a professional writing community of critical social need. We provide both young and established journalists with the chance to grow their online brands and build publishing credits within areas of passionate interest.
